Astronomite is found at the Northern end of Lake Argyle, located in the Kimberley Ranges in Western Australia. These ancient Astronomite stones from the Kimberley region in Western Australia, formed approximately 670 million years ago.
They are mystical in appearance and unique to our continent and are the rarest of the Kimberley region stones. The stone is dark chocolate maroonish brown with small beige coloured spots. It looks similar to that of the constellation in outback Australia. Thus they are known as the ‘Kimberley Moonstone’.
The artisan who handcrafted this piece, sourced this ancient siltstone himself and believes these stones blend with the moisture in your body, enhancing the colours of the stones.
Our jewellery is designed for unisex wear. They have been very popular with the beach and bohemian fashionistas as well as the “yuppies” city slickers, who appreciate our unique artisan jewellery pieces.
